Squirt White and Bantam Green game cancelled for 1/20

The Squirt White game vs Holy Name scheduled for 10:40 am on Sunday will not take place due to the forecast.  

The Bantam Green game vs. Westfield will also not be played tomorrow.  

We will look to reschedule if that is possible.

FCHA Learn to Skate meets each Saturday

Franklin County Hockey Association is proud to host its Learn to Skate program each Saturday at 11:00 AM.  Aimed at children ages 14 and under, Learn to Skate provides a low pressure, fun way to experience ice skating. 

Sessions meet each Saturday from now through March 2 from 11:00-11:50 AM at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.  The cost is $5 per week and skates and helmets are provided if needed. Each week will feature instruction and free time so kids can learn in both a structured and unstructured way.

Registration takes place inside the Collins-Moylan Arena lobby each Saturday.  

Franklin County Hockey Association is the county's only youth hockey association and is an affiliate of USA Hockey and Mass Hockey.  FCHA has over 150 participating children that reside in towns of Franklin County and beyond.  FCHA travel teams participate in the Greater Springfield League along with other youth hockey associations in Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont. FCHA also hosts introductory ice hockey programs all at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.  FCHA is run completely by volunteers on and off the ice.

FCHA Learn to Play Programs Now Open for Registration

2018-19 FCHA Learn to Play Programs

Try Hockey for Free Day:  On Saturday, November 10 from 10:40AM-12:00PM, FCHA will host a Try Hockey for Free clinic through the USA Hockey national program. FCHA coaches and players will assist on the ice and all youth ages are welcome.  Skates, helmets and other equipment provided as needed.

Learn to Skate: Learn to Skate is for children of all ages to learn the basics of skating.  Instruction is featured each week and skating aides are also provided.  Only $5.00 per week with no commitment.  Meets each Saturday from 11:00AM-11:50AM from November 17 through March 2.  Skates and helmets are available or bring your own.

Introduction to Hockey:  For children aged 6 and under, this program will focus on the basics of ice hockey skills such at skating, passing, stickhandling and shooting.  Program will meet on Saturdays from 11:00AM – 11:50AM and Sundays from 1:00PM – 2:00PM.  FREE for first year Intro to Hockey Players.  Fee for returning players is $249.  Starts on Saturday, November 17 and runs through March 2.  All players must register with USA Hockey.

FCHA Jr. House League:  For ages 12 and under, Jr. House league is the next step up from Introduction to Hockey and meets twice per week.  Sunday sessions will feature station based practices, while Saturdays will feature cross ice games.  Meets each Saturday from 10:10 AM-11:00 AM and Sundays from 1:00 PM – 1:50 PM.  Begins November 17 through March 2.  FREE for first year players and $249 for returning players.  All players must also register with USA Hockey ($48 or free if you attend Try Hockey for Free clinic).
